* Das Register soll nach süddeutsch-frühromantischer Tradition den 32'-Bereich der Orgel akustisch ergänzen, da für einen "echten" 32' kein Platz zur Verfügung steht. Es setzt sich zusammen aus 16' (Grundton=Oktave), 10 2/3' (Quinte), 6 2/5' (Terz) und 4 4/7' (Septime), die zusammen als Interferenzton den 32' ergeben. Mit dem Organisten waren wir auf der Suche nach einem Namen, der zwar nicht ein echtes 32'-Register vortäuschen sollte, aber auch nicht so prosaisch ist, wie das im Englisch-sprachigen Raum gebräuchliche "Resultant". Aus einer Laune heraus haben wir einfach die Brüche der Fußtonlagen der Einzelchöre addiert. Und das ergibt 7904/210 oder gekürzt eben 37 67/105. Dieser spontane Einfall hat dann seinen Weg auf den Registerknopf gefunden.
* The stop is meant to support the 32' basis of the organ acoustically as there is no space available for a real 32' stop. The stop comprises four ranks at 16' (base), 10 2/3' (third), 6 2/5' (fifth) and 4 4/7' (seventh) pitches which together create the resultant frequency of the 32'. Together with the organist, we were looking for a name for this stop which is less prosaic that the usual 'Resultant'. Following a sudden inspriation, we just added the fractions of the four pitches. The result is 7904/210, or – cancelled down – 37 67/105. And this cryptic figure found its way onto the stop face.
